Hello....... Now it could be said I've been a little bit excited about this make, my Sister could tell you if you asked her how many times I've said about wanting to make a Button Bauble, when we finally got to the craft shop, she was still looking at me like I'd gone a bit Button Baubles bonkers.
My original plan was to make one all in pearly buttons, but they were very tricky to source in the quantity you would need to make a bauble. So in the end I settled for some white buttons and a colourful Christmas mix.
Yay for buttons (skippy happy)
First of all I pinned in place a ribbon
Then set to work gluing my buttons on using PVA, which I really hope is going to hold !!
It's a bit like a button jigsaw puzzle
Finding just the right button to fit each time, as they are round there will always be a few gaps, which I simply filled with a pearly pin.
You have to cover a half a bauble at a time then allow it to dry before starting the second half.
When it's completely covered leave it to dry for 12 hours
Then it's time to add a little more decoration, pretty ice blue sparkles for the white bauble and some pins. The colourful bauble I just added a few pins in reds, greens and whites.
I'm a little bit in love with my icy white button bauble. Are you ready for the next one?
So much buttony goodness, I think I like this one best of all
Yay for Button Baubles what's not to love about them and so simple to make.
I can't wait to see them on the tree, when we finally get around to putting it up eek it's only a week till Christmas!! and we still have so much to do.....
